My Glossybox finally arrived today and I was so excited! I love getting my little surprise in the mail.
Products in this months Glossybox were:
- Nivea rich nourishing body moisturiser. A deluxe sized sample, you get 30ml, which is perfect to keep in my handbag. Looking forward to trying out this product as my skin has been really dry with all the wet weather we've had.
- Sheercover provided two products fr this months box. The first is the nourishing moisturiser, it's light weight, oil-free!, and SPF 15. You get a 30ml sample size and the full size product is 60ml and retails for $29.95. It feels gorgeous and smooth on the skin, but smells just like sunscreen, so we'll see how that goes.
The second product is a lip gloss in the colour 'Pink Praline' adds a little shimmer with a sheer gloss. This is a full size product and retails for $19.95.
- Kosmea is a brand I've been wanting to try for a while so I was excited to see that there was a daily facial exfoliant with crushed rose hips and chamomile flowers. They say this product can also be used as a detoxifying face mask. Full size is 125g and retails for $39.95.
- The last product in the box is the Mirenesse tight liner, hydra gel eye liner in saphire blue. It's a long wearing smudge proof eye liner in a pen form with a felt tip applicator. This is a full size product valued at $29.95.
Excited about this box and it was well worth the wait. Two full sizes values at $19.95 and $29.95, when you've only paid $14.95.. Can't complain!
Looking forward to the February box!

Quick post because I was proud of the two photos I took and edited on my phone :) hope you guys like them too

November favourites!
It’s finally the season to be jolly! So my November favourites are due,
To start off with I haven’t been wearing much foundation last month, my daily routine includes Dermalogica’s sheer tint moisture with SPF15 in the colour light. Like the name says it’s a sheer coverage moisturiser, which leaves me with a nice summer dewy glow.
Over the top of that is a well known favourite in the beauty community and it’s MAC mineralize skin finish natural in the colour Medium. My go to powder for summer.
My favourite brush this month is a cheap BYS brush, which was about $5 AUD from cosmetics plus. It’s a fairly dense brush with soft synthetic bristles so I use it to apply foundation and concealer.
Moisturised lips in summer are a must, so my absolute love this month has been the Maybelline baby lips in I believe cherry. It smells amazing and leaves my lips soft and moisturised.
I’ve been wearing the same colour most of this month on my nails, and although it is a weird choice for summer, I got into the festive season early. O.P.I’s nail lacquer in Quarter of a cent cherry. The colour in the photo is showing it redder then it actually is, it is a gorgeous burgundy colour and not usually a colour I would go for. Definitely worth checking out next time you’re in a store.
My last favourite for this month is my two babies. My lovely dogs, Pisco (Boxer) and Buddha (Maltese x shitzu). Pisco is nearly 11 and Buddha will be three on the 13th of December. (Photos are a bit old because I don’t have any new ones on the computer)

October Favourites!
Better late than never :) I've been so busy with work which is why this is so late, sorry!
Where i live it is summer and extremely hot, has been getting up to 40degrees Celsius (about 104degrees Fahrenheit). Melting weather. So makeup has been a pain to wear because it melts off your face.
Rimmel London soft kohl kajal eye liner pencil in 061 jet black. I use this just to line my upper lash line. Lining only your upper lash line gives the appearance of larger eyes. It's easy to get a thin or thick line and the creamy consistency is fantastic for smudging, so it suits those smokey eye looks.
Where i live it is summer and extremely hot, has been getting up to 40degrees Celsius (about 104degrees Fahrenheit). Melting weather. So makeup has been a pain to wear because it melts off your face.
My first favourite (non-makeup) is my Halloween decorations.
I got the plate and the bowl from Tokyo Disneyland last year when i went over for a holiday. Disneyland really is the happiest place on earth. unfortunately you won't be able to get these anymore but i loved them throughout October, they added the Halloween spirit to my room without having too much. I used the plate to leave my rings on and the bowl for my makeup brushes.
My next favourite is the Rimmel London i love fruities lasting finish nail polish (what a mouthful). I'm in love with the colour for summer and when i got it i didn't even realise that it was scented. i prepped and painted my nails and when it dried i could smell something, that's right the '053 Apricot Punch' nail polish smells like apricot. I will definitely be going to buy more of these, not only for the amazing scent they give but the consistency is gorgeous, i find i could live with one coat but its second nature to do 2 so i do, it looks flawless on the nails.
(sorry theres no photo of the colour on the nails, i have a different colour on for work) |
Ah, Soap and Glory Hand Food, the summer hand savior. This is a much raved about product and I'm in love with it. It is one of the best hand moisturizers that i have ever used. It lives in my hand bag because it is so delicious, it's honestly like a convenient treatment for your hands. It's a non greasy, Shea butter, macadamia oil and marshmallow smelling hand cream for all ages and skin types. If you can get your hands on this products, it is definitely worth it. (I purchased this from Mecca cosmetica for about $9.95 AUD)
The next three favourites are my only cosmetics for the month of October, it has just been far too hot for anything.
Another essential, Revlon's grow luscious by fabulash mascara in Blackest black. I got this product in a free pack when i spent a certain amount on Revlon products in my local David Jones store. This mascara claims to help your lashes grow and i don't know if its worked or if its in my head but i've noticed a difference in the length of my lashes. this mascara leaves my lashes super black, lengthened, and thick. I apply two coats and find that i get amazing results.
When i was on holiday in Melbourne, i went shopping and stopped in at the Illamasqua counter. The guy working there was the sweetest guy ever and we talked for about an hour, so helpful and recommended the most amazing products (which i wanted to buy all of them). Unfortunately as it was one of my last stops i only got two pure pigments, in ORE which is is a rust brown colour and i use it to contour my eyes and on the outer part of my lower lash line. The second colour is is FURORE, a champagne peach shimmer colour which is gorgeous as an all over lid colour, highlight and inner corner colour.
Those are my favourites for the month of October.

October Beauty Box!
Want to try new beauty samples every month at an inexpensive price? if you do then Beauty Box is something you want!
The Beauty Box is the Australian version of Americas Birchbox. You pay $14.95 a month and then you receive your Beauty Box in the mail every month. There's no locked in contract so you can cancel it anytime.
So this is the second month i have got the beauty box and i have been happy with both. Let's get onto to samples in this month's Beauty Box:
The Beauty Box comes with a letter from the Team which has a brief explanation on the samples you have received and the price for the full size product.
Ok, now the fun part, the samples:
The first samples were of the Calvin Klein Fragrance: CK one Shock for him and her. There was two samples of each fragrance,
CK one Shock for him to me is more of a younger man smell, it smells like an oriental fragrance however isn't overpowering. A very surprising fragrance and if i was a guy i would be purchasing the full size of this fragrance.
CK one shock for her is another surprising Calvin Klein fragrance, it has a very young feminine fragrance. It has a vanilla scent with a slight but fresh scent of berries. Getting into summer where i live i will definitely be buying this fragrance in full size.
The next sample i received was the John Frieda full repair full body shampoo and conditioner. I've been looking for a new shampoo and conditioner for a while so i'm excited to try these.
These products contain lightweight Inca Inchi Oil to help repair the look and feel of overworked hair.
They say they help to repair damage from frequent heat styling and colouring. I'll let you know how i go with these :)
The Garnier Body Intensive 7 days moisturiser with L-Bifidus and Shea Butter. I'm a bit skeptical about the moisturiser lasting for 7 days so i will definitely be trying this moisturiser. The moisturiser with Shea Butter is for dry to extra dry skin and leaves your skin feeling soft and supple for 7days.
4 samples of this product came in this months Beauty Box.
The next sample was the Shiseido compact foundation in I40 Natural Fair Ivory. This colour is a little bit dark for me, however the foundation is a nice consistency. It can be applied either wet or dry and gives a medium to full coverage and a natural finish.
This foundation also contains SPF15, which is always a bonus.
From trying this foundation once i know it wouldn't be my first choice and i won't be buying the full size of this product at the moment.
In every Beauty Box they include a Beauty Treat. This month it was the Biotherm Aquasource moisturiser. It is a morning and night facial moisturiser. Aquasource is an oligo-thermal-gel for all skin types including oily and acne prone skin.
It doesn't leave your skin feeling sticky of shiny. Leaves your skin with a velvety-soft skin texture, almost leaving your skin with a matte finish.
The gel has a sort of aquatic and really fresh scent to it. I love the smell but it might not be your thing. Definitely worth trying a sample though.
If you want me to review any of the mentioned products just let me know.
Hope you all enjoyed the October Beauty Box and think about signing up, for $14.95 you can't go wrong!
P.s. please note i wasn't asked to do this post, i paid for the beauty box entirely myself. Just hoping to help my fellow beauty product lovers out there.
